ICE 4.0 Build 3 released 2010-03-05 General changes ==================== * Added custom ventilation control. * Enhanced formatting of reports added. * Double sheet Facade ICE Extension in beta version added. * The pictures in reports are now optimized for printing. Pictures in reports now have default resolution 300 DPI. Pictures in MS Word report are by default in scalable vector format (metafile). The user may change resolution in Preferences dialog (page Forms, tab Export). * Supported custom diagram shapes (drawn by user-defined functions). * In the heading of the reports, wall area is replaced with envelope area. * New version of HASP driver. * Removed irrelevant parameters from dialogs for internal gains in zone template. * Added "Shift" command in context menu to move the selected objects (building, zones, features, shades) to different positions. * Added new input signal IWinRad to custom shading control. * 4 new models added to the control library. * The "Domestic hot water" column in the Systems energy report now includes the energy losses in hot water distribution. * Changed the way to calculate the distribution losses for ideal heaters and coolers. In previous versions they were modeled by changing the temperature of return water in heating (resp. cooling). But this system is not modelled when all heaters (resp. coolers) in the building are ideal. Now these losses are calculated independently. Fixed bugs ========== * Added a message about supported versions of DWG files. * In the IFC import, fixed thickness of clipped walls. * Openings without doors were sometimes simulated as leaks (depending on the parameter "opening schedule"). Now it is fixed. * The parameters "ZB_1" and "ZB_2" in the horizontal opening models and in openings in complex roofs were in some cases calculated wrongly. For an opening between zones, only the difference ZB_1 - ZB_2 is significant and this difference was correct. * Fixed the calculation of static characteristics of glazing in the detailed window model. There were 2 bugs: (1) the parameter "flipped" was ignored; (2) wrong gas properties was used in the case when gaps between panes are filled with different gases. The bugs did not influence the dynamic simulations. * For version projects, fixed bugs in calculation of differences between versions. * In version projects, if a control macro was removed from an advanced system and then the system was saved "as version", the .idm file containing the macro was also removed from the parent version. Now fixed. * Fixed a bug in the calculation of shading of non-rectangular windows. * Fixed a crash when editing lights in the zone template. * Prevent an error when a bad bitmap file was read. * The bottom level of building part was interpreted wrongly if the user changed it from a positive value to a non-positive value. * Fixed a bug in the vertical parts of roofs. It worked only if the corners were defined in counterclockwise order (looking from the outside). * Fixed the 3D vizualization of parameters and results (in the case where the floors of multiple zones partially intersect with the ceiling of one zone). * Fixed an error in the report generation in the Room Wizard (it sometimes crashed). * Fixed the presentation in the 3D view of the floor layers below the floor heating/cooling device. * In a zone with floor heating or cooling, if neither the floor nor the ceiling are external or adjacent to another zone (in this case they are modeled as one surface), the column "Internal wall ..." in the zone energy report missed the heat passed from the floor heating/cooling to the ceiling. This broke the heat balance in zone. The error was in this report only (no error in simulation). Now the balance is fixed. * Fixed a crash of solver in the case when the name of a zone starts with a digit. * Fixed the interpretation of the axis vector in the IFC import. * Fixed the order of layers in the wall constructions inported from IFC. * For walls that was explicitly (not geometrically) connected to a facade the infiltration was connected to the crawl space instead of this facade. Now these connections are fixed.
