Welcome to the IDA climate data download center
There are many weather data formats
available. We have presently a selection of climate files available using the
formats described below. It is also possible to download climate files directly from the
Energy Plus database, see below after our climate data table for instructions,
or click the link below to go directly to the Energy Plus homepage.
Weather files generated from
Test Reference Year (TRY) files and ASHRAE IWEC files
The TRY weather files are the files with a (TRY) in their names in the table below and are composed
from measured data of representative months to form a whole representative year.
NB! These files do not contain information about wind direction.
Weather files generated from
ASHRAE IWEC 1.1 Weather Files are the rest, and are
(c) 2001 American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning
Engineers, Inc., Atlanta, GA, USA. All rights reserved as noted in the License
Agreement and Additional Conditions.
To download and install the climate
data files, just click on the wanted city name(s) in the list below.
Downloading weather files from
the Energy Plus database
To download and install climate
data files from the Energy Plus database, just click on the link below and then
navigate to the wanted country and city name. You will find climate files
in different formats. If you click on the .zip-file,
the climate data file will be downloaded and installed automatically.
NB! Right now, there seems to be a Javascript problem on the Energy Plus pages, which
will trigger a warning about Javascript error and you will be asked if
you want to continue running a script on the page. This really has no
effect on the downloading process, or on your computer, at all, so
just click "No".
